The Consular Section of the British Embassy in Vienna provides consular assistance and services to British nationals in the provinces of Vienna, Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Burgenland.

The first point of contact for British nationals in other regions of Austria are the Honorary British Consulates, located in the following cities:

• Bregenz, for the province Vorarlberg
• Graz, for Styria and Carinthia
• Innsbruck, for the Tyrol
• Salzburg, for province of Salzburg

The Honorary Consulates cannot process or issue passports or visas, which can only be done by the Consular Section of the Embassy in Vienna. However, they can forward your passport application to the Embassy, can provide most other consular services to British nationals, and can help with information and assistance in emergencies.
