FCO Press Office
The Press Office of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London publishes daily press releases, speeches, ministerial engagements and events diaries in the ‘News’ section of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office website. It also operates a 24 hour press enquiry line, Tel: +43 (0)20 7008 3100.
The FCO Press Office also offers a range of services for representatives of overseas media based in the UK. These include arranging briefings, press conferences and media tours throughout the UK on a wide variety of topics, covering politics, commerce, science and culture. It also operates a mailing service for press releases and operational notes and publishes the ‘Reporting UK’ guide for foreign correspondents.
Foreign Press Association
The Foreign Press Association (FPA) in London is one of the oldest clubs for foreign correspondents in the world. It provides a wide range of facilities for foreign journalists who are resident in or visiting Britain, including issuing press cards under the national press card scheme.
