Press enquiries

Contact us for information on all aspects of Britain and UK policies. We give media enquiries priority and aim to answer your questions or provide a competent source in the UK within the shortest time possible.

Press releases, speeches and information on UK policies

We issue press releases and provide background material on major UK policy statements. The Newsroom section of this website contains a selection of the latest statements by the Prime Minister, Foreign Office and other leading Ministers. All UK Government press releases are available on the Government News Network website and Wired GOV-net, a government and public sector news service.

Interviews and press briefings

We arrange press briefings and interviews with visiting British Ministers and senior officials. The Ambassador welcomes the opportunity to meet Austrian journalists and give interviews and briefings. Other Embassy officials can give off-the-record briefings on specific aspects of UK policy by arrangement.

Embassy news

The Embassy organises a variety of events, such as launches of UK products, company presentations, lectures, seminars and cultural events. Members of the media are welcome to attend, having first registered with the Press Office.
