Fees for consular services
- Payment can only be made in Euros, in cash, and credit or debit card (see below) but NOT by cheque or bank transfer.
- Personal callers are kindly asked to bring the exact fee.
- All applications submitted by post or courier must be paid for by Visa or Mastercard credit and debit card (see below). Cash payments will no longer be accepted by post.
- Applicants for services who would like their documents sent back to them should also include € 5 to cover the cost of registered post.
How to pay with a Credit card
If you are applying for Consular Services by post, you must pay by credit card by printing a Card Payment Authorisation Form, filling in your card details as instructed on the form, and enclosing this with your application by post. DO NOT send your actual credit card. A separate credit card authorisation slip should accompany each application. If the cardholder name is different to the applicant’s name, please attach a photocopy of the cardholder’s passport or other photo ID with signature.
The cards we accept are Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. We are unable to process Maestro cards, American Express, Diners Club or any Austrian Bank Cards (Bankomatkarten).
Any postal application received after 1 September 2008 which contains cash as a form of payment will automatically be returned to the sender by registered post at the sender’s own expense (€5).
